Geraldine joined the Greenside team in July 2008, having been unemployed for some time. She wanted to gain some new experience by getting involved in a project that entailed working directly with a community.

She enjoys working with the Greenside community and making friends among the local people who use the Centre.

“I feel that my communication skills have improved and this is helped by working with a wide spectrum of people, which I really enjoy,” Geraldine says.

In the future she hopes to increase her involvement in the community by becoming involved in tutoring for programmes at Greenside.
