Jack, who had no qualifications from school, enrolled on Studio+ in October 2006.  He worked very hard and gained a Level 1 literacy qualification and a level 2 MIDI Sequencers accreditation.

The project’s Key Worker worked closely with Jack, giving him advice about career, education and training options that were open to him.  He then helped Jack improve his CV and researched training courses with him, which could lead into employment.

The Key Worker referred Jack onto an Entry to Employment  (e2e) course at Camden ITeC where he went on to do an ICT Technician trainee placement.  Jack gained qualifications in Numeracy, Literacy, ICT and Customer Service.

Jack impressed staff so much that in autumn 2007 Camden ITeC employed him to be their full-time ICT Technician.

“I want to keep producing dance music,” says Jack.  “I’m also thinking about my future and working towards gaining employment that is paid more highly.”
