December 2009 saw our long-standing corporate supporter, BNP Paribas, donate a phenomenal £10,000 to Vital Regeneration's innovative Homework Clubs.  This generous donation will enable us to deliver two Homework Clubs from our learning centres.

Homework Clubs provide children aged 7-12 years, particularly those living in overcrowded accommodation with a realxed, quiet environment and plenty of support  to complete their homework and learn new skills.  The combination of creative teaching methods and working closely with partners, enables us to offer children a positive learning environment and experience. 

One young participant said “It’s easier to understand my Maths in Homework Club than at school because Tania (tutor) gives me more time to explain things than my teacher can”.
 
Homework Clubs will be run across the January 2010 term in our two learning centres - Firststep.com located in The Greenside Community Centre and the Queens Park New Media Centre located in The Beethoven Centre, Westminster.
