FreqOUT! Case Study in NESTA Publication

The FreqOUT! project has this month been included in 'Social by Social' - A practical guide to using new technologies to deliver social impact. The book written by Andy Gibson, Nigel Courtney, Amy Sample, David Wilcox and Professor Clive Holtham was comissioned by NESTA to explore the brave new world of technology for the development of social good.

FreqOUT! Project Manager, Jenny Irish, gives advice on how to use social media to engage hard to reach groups.  Jenny commented,

"I am delighted that FreqOUT! was chosen to be part of this publication - it really showcases the positive work going on locally with disadvantaged groups.  The book is a great read for anyone wanting to learn more about new technologies and how to initiate projects that will excite and enthuse communities to be part of positive societal change."

FreqOUT! won funding through NESTA in 2008 to build the capacity of the project.  The first phase of the project is complete and you can read the 'Impact and Development' report here.
