Get Online Day at Greenside
Vital Regeneration's learning centre at Greenside held a Get Online Day on October 30. The event encouraged people of all ages to use computers and the internet – perhaps for the first time – and to find out the benefits of being online.
It was a chance to discover what the internet could do for families. The aim was to reach people considered 'digitally excluded', bringing them into the global online community.
Helpful, friendly staff were on hand to help get people started. They promoted courses and opportunities available in Vital Regeneration’s learning centres and outreach programmes. There was face painting and other art activities for younger children, leaving parents free to participate in the computer activities.
If you are interested in signing up for courses next term, or in the future, contact the Learning team on 020 7245 2865.
