Vital Regeneration are excited to announce three new and innovative FreqOUT! digital media workshops… and we’re looking for youth organisations and schools who would like to invite us to deliver one at their venue with their young people!

The three FULLY FUNDED workshops are part of FreqOUT!’s “Can you HEAR me?” project which will culminate in December this year with a showcase of all the work made by the participants. 

The workshops will be more ground-breaking than ever before, and will explore the potential of digital media with young people for their long-term social benefit. 

The workshop options are:

1.  ANIMATION:

Use 2D and 3D animation techniques to tell a story, make a statement or start a debate.

2.  POLYMEDIA PERFORMANCE:

Use cutting-edge software and techniques to create a multi-sensory multimedia performance involving music, film, spoken word, beat-boxing, VJ-ing and more…

3.  DIGITAL STORYTELLING:

Work alongside a professional editor in a simulated “Post Production environment” to capture and edit a film which tells a story that is important to the young people.

By participating in these workshops, the young artists will be able to:

• Respond creatively to issues which affect their lives;
• Think about their role in society and explore themes of citizenship, social responsibility, role-models, initiation and youth culture in a focused and creative manner;
• Express themselves through the medium of digital technology;
• Work in a team in an artificially created “Professional Studio

      Environment” and understand the creative process from concept to post production;

• Work with more confidence and improved communication skills.

FreqOUT! can offer:

• Full day workshop OR two half-day workshops (6hrs total);

• Delivered at your venue;

• 10 to 12 young people per workshop;

• Age range: 12 – 20 years
