Studio+ music production participants wrap up project with Thriller Live the Musical!
On Tuesday 8th June, the Tuesday evening music production group headed to the West End for an evening with the late Michael Jackson – well, his music anyway. Following the kind discount offered to us by the production team, Upper Circle front row seats secured a perfect view of the stage and the action. The back-to-back Jackson tracks kept everyone rocking in their seats. By the end, we were all standing up clapping along to Michael Jackson’s greatest hits.
In the interval, all participants wrote a reflections in order to complete their Bronze Arts Award portfolios for which they needed to be an audience participant at a music event. This element will be added to the rest of the portfolio which consists of: a weekly-updated diary of their music production progress; research and a short essay on their music hero/heroine; feedback of their apprenticeship whereby they taught volunteers from the law firm Weil, Gotshal & Manges how to create a track on Logic Pro during a fabulously energetic session which wowed their lawyer apprentices, one of whom described the project as “truly inspirational”, explaining that “I so enjoyed my Create+ apprenticeship. I can't remember ever enjoying 30 minutes of education quite so much!”
After the show, everyone recorded a glowing summary of the night, identifying the highlights and the Jackson tunes accompanied us all the way home. A great end to another successful Studio+ project.
