December saw the completion of the Platinum Youth Achievement Awards by Jeni, Christian and Emily, volunteers on the Re-Evolve team.  The Platinum Award celebrates a young volunteer's leadership qualities, including their support for the development of other young people.  It also recognises organisational skills and the delivery of events.  Having shown such commitment and flair, the presentation was a fantastic culmination of their achievements with Vital Regeneration.

Emily commented:

‘Stretching for the Platinum Award made the team become really focused and well organised.  Compiling our portfolios seemed like a lot of effort initially, but the process made us realise everything we have achieved on the project.  Now we know we’ll also have something tangible to show for it!’
 
Through the achievement of the Platinum Youth Achievement Awards, Christian, Jeni and Emily will be able to demonstrate to future employers the impressive skills they have gained through their time spent volunteering.  Thanks to them for all their hard work this year.
 
Awarding our volunteers for their contribution is a vital aspect of Re-Evolve.  We look forward to more Platinum Youth Achievement Award winners in 2010!
