Vital Youth

Vital Youth works intensively with over 200 local young people every year to provide creative, meaningful and career shaping experiences.  Through our intensive work we also reach and impact thousands more young people and their families

FreqOUT! and Create+

Our projects are designed for 14-25 year olds and are delivered through two main programmes; FreqOUT! and Create+:

Create+ is our flagship education, employment and creative learning programme for 14 to 19 year olds who are at risk of exclusion from school or are NEET (not in education, employment or training).  Through Create+ we provide a bridge to ongoing training and employment opportunities by delivering creative digital skills enhancement courses which build literacy and numeracy skills and reconnect young people to mainstream education or work.  (Download our partner infomation pdf  or read our Create+ External Evaluation Report)

FreqOUT! is our award-winning programme that uses emergent technologies to provide young people in excluded communities with opportunities to learn, develop skills and build their confidence.  Participants work with artists and digital technology experts on diverse projects from filmmaking to animation to multimedia performances.  FreqOUT! has worked with more than 1,200 young people over its lifetime.  Why not read our latest Impact Report (2012)

Volunteering – we also give young people the opportunity to work along side us, enabling them to gain skills and become the authors of projects which will impact their own generation.

We aim to equip young people with the experience and skills they need to become irresistible to future employers, role-models to their peers and ambassadors for change in their local communities.
