About Play Space

Play Space is an after school creative workshop, designed so that children learn about healthy lifestyles, exploring the theme through physical games, dance and sport.  It incorporates creative learning where children have the opportunity to create menus, aprons and bags, as well making healthy, irresistible meals and smoothies.

The greater understanding of how a healthy diet and exercise contributes to overall well being empowers children to make their own informed choices.

The project is run by professional artists and uses drawing, movement, dance, music, animation and sculpture to explore concepts of healthy eating and healthy active lifestyles for children aged from 7 to 11 (Key Stage 2) and those between 11 and 14 (Key Stage 3).

The project runs in three primary schools, a secondary school and two community centres across Westminster.  Details of venues and current Play Space programmes can be found in the calendar.

The workshops run after school for a period of 10 weeks during each school term.  We run additional workshops during half term and the summer break.
